Comprised of both plein air and studio work, this year's exhibition is all about oils in Ken's typical juicy, painterly style.
Most of the works are on panel, (with the odd canvas as well), and a range in sizes.
"New Works" includes scenes from around lower Vancouver Island and the Victoria area, as well as a few from Ken's November 2011 painting trip

Follow in the footsteps of Emily Carr and paint in the very same places that Emily herself painted on the Westshore. Paint the fresh greens of an awakening spring in Metchosin, the heat of the summer in Jordan River or the vibrant fall colours here at Havenwood. Through extensive research and interviews, Elaine Limbrick of the Westshore Arts Council has compiled a map of some of Emily's favourite painting locations here on the Westshore. The Coast Collective is excited to share this information and is putting out an open call to artists to paint their interpretation of what Emily saw. Maps are available at the Coast Collective or the Westshore Arts Council.
