Points of View
August 26 – Sep 5

Points of View Invitation

“Points of View” showcases work in four very diverse styles by local artists – Vikki  Flawith, Susan Hopkins, Dixie MacUisdin, and Trish Smith. Using acrylic, watercolour, or pastel, each artist presents a unique view of the world that surrounds her. Sisters, Vikki and Susan, display their colourful, transported visions of the West Coast’s landscape and wildlife; Dixie offers stylized, abstracted inspirations of Alaska; and Trish utilizes timeless Realism to explore humans’ relationship to the landscape.

Opening Reception: Sat, Aug 28, 2-4 pm

SuperWalk Comes to the West Shore
Sunday, Sep 19, 1 - 2 pm

Parkinson’s disease affects over 100,000 Canadians. Nearly 1,500 people on Southern Vancouver Island have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s.  Ask any one of these individuals and they’ll tell you that everything is harder when your body turns against you.
Hope will bring over 12,000 individuals out to participate in more than 80 SuperWalks held across Canada this September. We hope that you too will come and join in.
This year, the Victoria Epilepsy and Parkinson’s Centre is organizing its Ist Annual SuperWalk in the West Shore, on the beautiful grounds of Essencia, to raise awareness of Parkinson’s disease and to raise funds to support its services to the people of the Capital Regional District. You, your family, friends, and neighbours are invited to join us on Sunday, September 19 at Essencia. We will start our walk at 1 p.m.
Our route will take us along the driveways that meander through Essencia, starting and ending at the Coast Collective Gallery. You can turn around at any point or pause for a moment to enjoy the artwork and scenery. The return distance is less than 1 km.  Light refreshments will be available.

Please call us at 250-475-6677, or email us at help@vepc.bc.ca, to receive registration or sponsorship information
